Nokia N96 versus N97
Nokia is the leading mobile phone seller in India and the N-series is the latest one with most of the advanced technologies and some dedicated to entertainment features along with business applications. There are many mobiles available in the N-series row and N97 is the latest one and was awarded as gadget of the year. This is the model next to N96. Let us see the difference between the both.
DESIGN:
The elder brother N96 is with a dual slide design and the dimension is 103*55*18 millimeter and the weight of the phone is about 125 grams. The slides are for keyboard and multimedia respectively. But in the N97 the dimension is 117.2*55.3*15.9 millimeter and its weight is 25 grams more than N96 and QWERTY keyboard is used which slides in the left side. The screen is 3.5 inches TFT touchscreen and the resolution is 360*640 pixels while in the N96 the screen resolution is 240*320 inches and the size is 2.8 inches. Nokia N97 has some other extra features like Proximity sensor for automatic on and off of the screen.
CAMERA:
Both of these brothers have the same camera features like 5 MP auto focus with Carl Zeiss lens with LED flash. Both have VGA format video capture facilities and with 30fps. In the N97 one extra facility available is Geo Tagging in which we can tag information along with the pictures. Both have secondary cameras for video conferencing facilities.
CONNECTIVITY:
In the connectivity area both the phones stand at the same level with GPRS facility, EDGE technology, WiFi feature, HSCSD etc. Both of them contains USB and Bluetooth facility and the only difference is the 434 MHz processor and Symbian Operating System v9.4 which is faster than its brother which have only 264 MHz processor and the OS is symbian v9.3.
MULTIMEDIA:
N96 has DVB-H Television broadcast receiver while in the N97 there is no such feature. In the memory area the N97 have more memory with 16 Giga Byte internal memory and the card slot is 16 Giga Byte. Both have 3.5 mm jack and also with stereo speakers.
Both of these mobiles have same feature but N97 is the new one so it is one step further and also with some added features.
