Once you get a domain the next important work you have to do is web hosting. You have to get hosting account from a company to manage your files. The following are some tips to find a right hosting company.
Before getting into a hosting account you first read some reviews about the company. Don’t get attracted towards the company’s homepage. You can go and read the reviews in number of good sites who gives the positive and negative of the hosting companies. You can also get the cost information of the hosting site.
The next thing you have to do is to check whether the hosting company has wide variety of billing options. Some company will have only one mode of billing option and you should not rely on such companies because that indicates that they are not having enough business practices which also includes the service, reliability etc.
You should not select only for the uptime provided by the company. You should also look for the amount of downtime they are providing. For an average internet user this downtime amount will be enough.
While registering the domain name you should be very careful because many companies after registration they won’t allow you to move towards another hosting company. They will have these rules somewhere in a corner. So it is better to register the domain separately.
Free hosting should be avoided. Though they give some attractive offers their service, technical assistance etc will not be good. They will also add their advertisements in your domain without your permission and you cant do anything with that. They won’t provide enough bandwidth for you. So don’t go for free hosting services.

I totally and absolutely agree with you. In developing a website, it does not end if you have a domain name. Where will you put your files? That’s the work of web hosting.
